Ara Papian: Erdogan's statement proves that Turkish society is sick

Ara Papian: Erdogan's statement proves that Turkish society is sick PanARMENIAN.Net - The statement of the Turkish Prime Minister was interpreted correctly, an Armenian historian said.

If the Turkish PM spoke about deportation of all illegal migrants it would be clear, although illogical. But judging by his statement, undocumented Georgians, Arabs and Russians have the right to violate the law but Armenians don't," head Modus Vivendi center Ara Papian said, adding that the Turkish authorities will hardly persecute Armenians henceforth.

"With this statement Erdogan proved that the Turkish society is sick. His utterances reveal the Turkish population's thoughts," he said.

"The Turkish Prime Minister violated articles 1, 7 and 16 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights," Mr. Papian concluded.
