This year Artavazd Theatre Prize devoted to 105th anniversary of Vardan Ajemian and Arus Asryan

PanARMENIAN.Net - On March 27 annual national theatrical award ceremony Artavazd will be held at Yerevan Musical Comedy Theatre after Paronyan. According to the chairman of the Theater Union of Armenia Hagop Ghazanchyan , this year Artavazd prize is dedicated to 105th anniversary of prominent figures of Armenian theater Vardan Ajemian and Arus Asryan. The award will be given in 11 nominations, and new award for artistic and technical staff is available this year.

National Theatre Prize "Artavazd"

"Artavazd" is a National Theatre Prize awarded in Armenia for 10 years. Every year on March 27, at the International Theater Day, the prize is awarded to best actor and actress, best young actor and actress, best young director, best production, best play, best music, best set design, etc. Theatre Prize is named in honor of the Armenian king Artavazd Second (I century), who is considered to be a founder of the Armenian theater.
