Serzh Sargsyan: Armenia almost adopted decision on Armenian-Turkish Protocols![]() April 9, 2010 - 18:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said that Armenia has almost adopted its decision on the Armenian-Turkish Protocols. The Armenian side will submit its decision for public discussion, if it is confident in its correctness, Mr. Sargsyan told journalists in Tavush region. “In this case, it is very important to adopt a correct decision, but it is early to speak about it,” the President said. At the same time, he refrained from commenting on the upcoming visit to Washington to participate in global nuclear security summit. “This is a very important visit, during which various meetings will take place,” Mr. Sargsyan said. ![]() ![]() The Armenian-Turkish Protocols The Protocols aimed at normalization of bilateral ties and opening of the border between Armenia and Turkey were signed in Zurich by Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu on October 10, 2009, after a series of diplomatic talks held through Swiss mediation. ![]() ![]() The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
