The RA National Statistical Service reported that the salary level decreased by 0.5% in March as compared with February 2010. 4.4% and 6.9% growth was recorded in salaries in government-financed and privately-owned organizations, amounting to AMD 83 810 and 126 995 respectively. At the same time, the number of unemployed totaled 84 400 people in Armenia during the first quarter of 2010 that is 7.2% higher as compared with the same period of last year.
