Armenian People’s Artist Eduard Arstrunyan dies at 81May 6, 2010 - 12:25 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian People’s Artist, one of the most prominent representatives of modern Armenian painting art Eduard Arstrunyan died at the age of 81. A governmental commission on organization of funeral was formed by order of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. Civil funeral rites will take place in the Armenian Artists' Union on May 7 from 12 to 2 pm. Eduard Arstrunyan was born in Leninakan (Gyumri) in 1929. Graduate of Merkulov and Terlemezyan art schools (1944-1951) and Leningrad Art Academy (1951-1957), he moved to Moscow in 1963. 13 years later, in 1976, he moved to Yerevan, where he lived and worked until his death.
