Turkey to hold referendum on reform package Sept. 12

PanARMENIAN.Net - A public referendum on the government's constitutional amendment package, which passed in the Turkish parliament last week, will be held on September 12, the Supreme Election Board (YSK) announced.

The package, which was accepted on May 7, was published in the Official Gazette on May 13, effectively kicking off the referendum process. The public vote was expected to be held 60 days after the publication of the package, but the YSK said that it will be held on September 12, Today’s Zaman reported.
