The nomination has been already forwarded to the Senate for approval, a diplomatic source in Washington told PanARMENIAN.Net The Ambassador’s seat in Azerbaijan has been vacant for rather a long time, due to some tensions in the American-Azerbaijani relations. Bryza, whose appointment to Baku has long been the source of considerable speculation, has a near-22-year-long diplomatic career. Experts believe that the nomination will be approved. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
