Artsakh elections meet international standards![]() May 24, 2010 - 13:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - ARF Dashnaktsutyun Supreme Body representative Armen Rustamyan gave high assessment to continuous improvements in the NKR electoral system. “Artsakh elections were organized on a high level to meet international standards. High voter turnout was observed, proving NKR people’s awareness their participation strengthens independence and security of the state,” Armen Rustamyan stressed. ARFD representative expressed disagreement over the attitude of international structures ignoring NKR parliamentary elections, a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from Stepanakert. “Whether or not the state is acknowledged, international structures must send in an observation mission to get acquainted with the domestic situation, thus guaranteeing adequate assessment. As to European Parliament resolution, it served to reveal the incompetence of the institution, rather than harm NKR,” Mr. Rustamyan emphasized. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
