Armenians of Singapore to celebrate 175th anniversary of Armenian Church consecrationJune 4, 2010 - 18:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Ambassador to Singapore Armen Sargsyan visited St. Gregory Illuminator Armenian Church and met with representatives of the Armenian community. The Ambassador hailed the community’s contribution to the church preservation and expressed willingness to help solve the existing problems. The community members briefed the Ambassador on their problems, events, as well as history of the Armenian Church, the legal status of which was also discussed during the meeting. The Armenian community is going to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the church consecration in spring 2011. Representatives of Armenian communities worldwide and Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin are invited to attend the ceremony, the RA MFA press service reported.
