6 Armenian boxers fight for European Champion title![]() June 8, 2010 - 13:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Derenik Gizhlaryan (weight class 51kg), Olympic Games bronze winner Hrachik Javakhkyan (weight class 64kg), World Vice Champion and World Cup winner Andranik Hakobyan (weight class 75kg) and Arthur Khachatryan broke through to the 1/4 final of the European Boxing Championships going on in Moscow. 2008 European Champion Hovhannes Danielyan (weight class 48kg), will enter competition from the 1/4 final. Samvel Matevosyan (weight class 69kg) and Karen Aylazyan (weight class 54kg) dropped out of the 1/16 finals while Ara Puluzyan (weight class 60kg) and Tsolak Ananikyan (weight class 91kg) left the competition in 1/8 final. ![]() ![]() Armenia’s Narek Manasyan (92kg) won Armenia’s second silver medal at the European Boxing Championships 2024 on April 28.
