Private remittances to Armenia totaled $367mln in January-April 2010

PanARMENIAN.Net - $367mln was transferred to individuals through the Armenian banking system in January-April 2010. According to the RA Central Bank’s monthly bulletin, 3.8% or $13.3mln growth was recorded as compared with the same period of last year.

Meanwhile, Russia keeps the biggest share of remittances to Armenia - $232.9mln, followed by the U.S. - $39.5mln and Germany - $7.1mln. The amount of remittances from Turkey totaled $885,000.

Besides, the amount of remittances from Armenia totaled $188.4mln in January-April 2010 that is 9.7% higher as compared with the same period of last year.

During the reported period, the net cash inflow decreased by 1.9% amounting to $178.6mln against $182mln in January-April 2009.
