Greeting the Ambassador, Gevorgyan noted that Armenia is interested in boosting relations with Qatar and attached importance to the role of interdepartmental commission. Gevorgyan added that during his recent visit to Qatar he met with Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and discussed Qatar’s participation in regional projects developed in Armenia, as well as organization of the first sitting of the interdepartmental commission this year. For his part, the Ambassador attached importance to opening of Armenia’s diplomatic representation in Qatar and establishment of air communication between the two countries. Besides, the Qatar Ambassador offered to hold the first sitting of the interdepartmental commission in Doha, the press service of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration reported.
