In the first round Sargssian defeated Sweden’s Pia Cramling. Then, tied his second game vs. Spain’s Ivan Salgado Lopez. After two rounds, Sargssian is the third with 1.5 points. Bulgaria’s Ivan Cheparinov is the leader of the tournament, followed by Italy’s Fabiano Caruana, both of them with 1.5 point. The Armenian grandmaster will compete with Peru’s Deysi Cori in the third round.
