RA Minister of Transport and Communication called on constructors to reimburse damage caused to stateJune 18, 2010 - 21:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan met with representatives of over 30 road construction companies to discuss matters related to exploitation of roads, their servicing and maintenance, updating of agreements, as well as increasing of technical controllers’ responsibility. Besides, the Minister called on representatives of the companies to reimburse the damage caused to the state, which was revealed as a result of inspections by the Armenian Control Chamber. The Minister said that otherwise the companies may be expelled from further programs as negligent partners, the Ministry’s press service reported. Meanwhile, the road construction companies raised the issue of financing of works implemented under the Millennium Challenge program. Mr. Vardanyan said that he has already applied to the government with respect to the matter.
