  AMD strengthening may be caused by agricultural production volume increase June 25, 2010 - 14:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - AMD exchange rate is currently floating, its strengthening over the last period coming as a result of supply and demand within the country, Armenian Banks Union president Ararat Ghukasyan stated. In a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, he cited increase in agricultural production volume as the reason behind recent tendencies, pointing out the traditional strengthening of AMD exchange rate in summer period. “At present, CBA is not intervening in national currency exchange rate formation,” Ghukasyan said.
