Gagik Melikyan: international institutions’ statements were addressed to Azerbaijan![]() June 26, 2010 - 13:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of the Republican Party of Armenia, MP Gagik Melikyan doesn’t think that international institutions assumed a biased stance on the incident that took place at the contact line of NKR and Azerbaijani armed forces on June 18 night. “International institutions’ statements were addressed to Azerbaijan,” he said. Nevertheless, he emphasized that Azerbaijan should have been named as the provocateur. “It was not the time to make statements admissible for both sides,” Melikyan told a news conference on June 26. He hailed the reaction of Armenian and Arstakh leaders, who gave a proper response to Azerbaijan. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
