PanARMENIAN.Net - Any Azerbaijani soldier can become a victim of Ilham Aliyev’s caprice, an Armenian expert said.

“The recent incident at the contact line proved that proceeding from political interests Azerbaijani authorities can easily send their best soldiers to death, what can cause a split in the Azeri army,” said Davit Jamalyan, member of the public council at the RA Ministry of Defense.

“4 killed from the Armenian side was the result of unexpected attack. However, NKR military managed to prevent penetration of the Azeri subversive group,” he said.

Jamalyan noted that although Azerbaijan’s threats become more frequent, these don’t necessarily lead to war.

“The most important task for us is to be extremely vigilant,” he concluded.
