Hovhannes Hovhannisyan: Karabakh process has negative dynamics for Armenian side

PanARMENIAN.Net - The statement issued by the Presidents of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair countries proves that the Karabakh process has negative dynamics for the Armenian side, according to Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, chairman of Liberal Party of Armenia.

“The statement mentions ‘return of occupied territories surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh’ and a ‘corridor linking Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh’. A corridor, not border,” Hovhannisyan said.

“I’m surprised how Armenian Foreign Minister could give a positive estimation to this statement,” he added.

As to the upcoming visit of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to Armenia, Hovhannisyan said the talks will focus on Karabakh conflict resolution and Armenian-Turkish relations.

He excluded any possibility of Armenian-Turkish reconciliation, as no breakthrough can be registered in Karabakh process.

“I stand for normalization of relations with Turkey but it’s important to know what price Armenia will have to pay for it,” Hovhannisyan concluded.
