Armenia may host Eastern Partnership meeting

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan met with European Parliament Vice President Laszlo Tokes to discuss Armenia-EU cooperation, specifically in the framework of Eastern Partnership initiative.

“The Eastern Partnership offers new perspectives for conclusion of association and free trade zone agreements,” Abrahamyan said. He also offered to organize a meeting between participant countries in Yerevan.

For his part, Tokes welcomed the Armenian Speaker’s visit as a stimulus for development of interparliamentary cooperation.

The two men also referred to regional issues, attaching importance to peaceful resolution of conflicts, the RA NA press office reported.
