Release of 2 historical books timed to king Tigran the Great’s 2150th anniversaryAugust 6, 2010 - 15:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - This year, 2 books featuring the life of Tigran the Great were published, timed to the Armenian king’s 2150th anniversary. The books released are: Tigran the Great historic novel by Armen Malkasyan and Tigran the Great: Complete Book of Facts by Nikoghayos Adonts. To celebrate the 2150th anniversary of Tigran the Great and 90th anniversary of the Treaty of Sevres as well as traditional Armenian New Year (Navasard), a pilgrimage to ancient Armenian town of Tigranakert will be organized on August 11-12. Festive events will be in order. Stepanakert, Shushi and Berdzor region will also host celebratory events, lectures and cultural program. The pilgrimage is organized by Serund NGO and NKR Ministry for Culture and Youth Affairs.
