As reported by Yerkramas newspaper, several thousands of Armenians found shelter in Moscow after the pogroms in Baku. Some of them were settled in Yuzhnaya Hotel, which was privatized in 1995. Presently, the hotel administration is moving the refugees to the town of Furmanov (Moscow region). “We call on the Moscow authorities to address the issue and help about 350 refugees who were deprived of accommodation and legal status,” Babushkin said. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
