CSTO not eager to re-accept Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - After the 2008 war, no one expects NATO to extend toward South Caucasus, an Armenian expert said.

“Even Georgia has lost hope to join the Alliance,” Sergey Minasyan, head of scientific research of Caucasus Institute, told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

“As to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Azerbaijan had been a member till 1999. I don’t think the organization is eager to re-accept this country

Earlier, head of the public and political department at the Azerbaijani presidential administration Ali Hasanov said that Azerbaijan is not going to join either NATO or CSTO ‘until these organizations condemn Armenia’.
