Catholicos of All Armenians receives Representative of UN High Commissioner for Refugees in RAAugust 25, 2010 - 20:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On August 25, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Armenia Damtew Dessalegne. Greeting the guest, His Holiness Karekin II wished Mr. Dessalegne success in his mission, the press service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin reported. Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II also hailed the established cooperation between the UN office and Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, due to which a range of joint ecological projects were implemented. Besides, refugees’ problems were in the focus of the meeting. His Holiness Karekin II briefed Damtew Dessalegne on the role of the Armenian church in the people’s life, as well as history of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
