PanARMENIAN.Net - Argentine David Nalbandian was made to work hard to book his place in the second round of the 2010 US Open.

On August 31, world #33 David Nalbandian defeated world # 231 Rik De Voest (SAR) in a five set match 7:6, 3:6, 6:4, 6:7, 6:4, gotennis.ru reported.

Nalbandian will play against France's Florent Serra in the second round.
