Despite its statements, Azerbaijan shows complete unwillingness to resolve Karabakh issue

PanARMENIAN.Net - On August 31, on the line of contact of Karabakh and Azeri armed forces, Azeri side made another attempt at diversion, grossly violating the ceasefire.Armenian frontier guards, having noticed advancing movement of the rivals’ special detachment, took relevant actions, repulsing the rival to its initial position, Armenian Ministry of Defence stated.

The information above proves Azeri authorities to be ignoring efforts towards peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict. Azeri side shows complete unwillingness to resolve the issue, using provocative behavior to artificially destabilize the situation on the line of contract and jeopardizing the negotiation process.

Azeri armed forces’ behavior serves as a reason for exacerbation of situation on the line of contact, running counter to Azerbaijan authorities’ statements on the readiness for peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict, RA Defense Ministry press service reported.
