Gérard Depardieu to implement cultural projects in ArmeniaSeptember 4, 2010 - 16:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Speaker of the RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan received renowned French actor Gérard Depardieu. Hovik Abrahamyan said that the actor’s participation in Karot international festival is symbolic, as the event plays an important role in presentation of the Armenian culture. Abrahamyan offered to organize the next festival in Paris. For his part, the actor agreed to participate in the festival. According to Depardieu, his visit to Armenia should cause interest of other European art people as well, forcing them to visit Armenia and implement various projects here. Gérard Depardieu also said that he is going to organize a film festival and bring European cinematographers to Armenia. Besides, he is going to prepare a cultural program with participation of Armenians from every corner of the world to present the Armenian culture of different eras.
