Aronyan ties his game with Alexey Shirov in 2nd round of Grand Slam Chess Masters

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian GM Levon Aronian tied his game with Alexey Shirov in the 2nd round of Grand Slam Chess Masters, which kicked off in Shanghai, China, on September 3, 2010.

Aronyan tops the standings after the second round with 1.5 point.

Vladimir Kramnik (Russia) and Wang Hao (China) also tied their game, scoring 1 point each after the second round.

The two winners of the Shanghai tournament, together with Viswanathan Anand (India) and Magnus Carlsen (Norway), will participate in the Grand Slam Final tournament in Bilbao, Spain, from October 9 to 15, 2010.
