Integrated border management system to be implemented in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Vice Prime Minister of Armenia, Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan met with the delegation led by the Regional Representative for the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) Hans Petter Boe.

As the Minister reported, this year, Armenian government will present a project of regulatory policy for migration. He also spoke of the implementation of electronic passports and biometric identity cards’ system, as well as integrated border management system to be introduced in Armenia.

The parties dwelled on migration issues which are on the agenda of Armenia-Europe cooperation.

Hans Petter Boe expressed readiness to continue collaboration with Armenia, noting that International Organization for Migration will cooperate with Diaspora organizations to assist Armenian migrants abroad.
