Armenian Buddy Bear in Senate Square, Helsinki![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Buddy Bear can be found in Senate Square, Helsinki, as a part of United Buddy Bears exhibition traveling under motto “The Art of Tolerance”. The bears have been on the road since 2004, and Helsinki is their 20th stop. The exhibition comprises 142 individually painted bear sculptures, just over two meters tall. The author of the Armenian sculpture painted a tricolor on the bear’s neck and a tobacco pipe on the back of his head with the following inscription: “ The pipe of my Armenian grandfather, who lost his Life in the mountains.” The inscription on the belly of the bear reads “HAYASTAN’. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
