Armenia, Iran to strengthen cooperation in trade sectorSeptember 9, 2010 - 16:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 7, Armenian Ambassador to Iran Grigor Arakelyan met with Iranian Minister of Trade Mehdi Ghazanfari. At the meeting, the parties gave high assessment to trade and economic relations between the states, agreeing that the work of joint interparliamentary committee will promote increase in product turnover. The Minister of Trade, in turn, suggested creation of a bilateral committee on the level of ministers and deputy ministers of trade. Ghazanfari spoke about the opening of major Iranian companies’ representations in Yerevan to facilitate the supply of Iranian goods to the market of Armenia. The parties also dwelled on organization of specialized exhibitions with the assistance of chambers of commerce and industry, Armenian Foreign Ministry press service reported.
