Educational multimedia laboratory to be opened in GyumriSeptember 11, 2010 - 19:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of High and Information Technology Department at the RA Ministry of Economy Vache Kirakosyan said that an educational multimedia laboratory will be opened in Gyumri in 2011. Besides, certain educational programs will be developed in this field for school students, said Vache Kirakosyan during MARANI business forum on animation and information technologies. “The government will launch a program on electronic education, while multimedia tools will play a significant role and create a new field for the development of electronic education,” he said. According to Director of IT Center of Gyumri Gurgen Paronyan, the laboratory will focus on production of vide and animation output. “There are resources on creation of 3D graphics in Gyumri. Hopefully, it will be possible to establish contacts with Yerevan companies for further cooperation,” Gurgen Paronyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. He added that an animation club is planned to be opened in Gyumri for teenagers. “We want to reveal enthusiasts of animation to provide them with self-expression opportunities,” said Paronyan.
