Prosperous Armenia parliamentary group to vote against bill on recognition of NKR’s independenceSeptember 16, 2010 - 17:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Secretary of Prosperous Armenia parliamentary group Aram Safaryan said that the group supports recognition of NKR’s independence, but it will vote against the bill submitted by Heritage parliamentary group on recognition of NKR’s independence. “The OSCE Minsk Group’s Co-Chair countries stated that the Karabakh conflict settlement will proceed only within the OSCE Minsk Group format. And if we recognize NKR’s independence now, it will be out of the negotiation process logics and will considerably complicate the OSCE Minsk Group’s activity. However, if the Minsk Group reaches a deadlock due to some reasons, we do not exclude the possibility of the bill’s adoption,” Safaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter in the parliament. He added that he is not against the bill personally. “However, the extraordinary discussion of the bill is inexpedient now. It can remain on the NA agenda to be discussed later,” concluded Safaryan.
