Serzh Sargsyan: Armenia doesn’t seek to benefit from contradictions between other countriesSeptember 17, 2010 - 11:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia does not seek to benefit from contradictions between other countries, President Serzh Sargsyan stated, commenting on Armenia’s cooperation with NATO and CSTO. “Armenia pursues a policy of sincerity, allowing to collaborate with the U.S., Russia on one side and Iran, Georgia on the other,” he told Profile Ukrainian magazine. “NATO and CSTO are not rivals. Cooperation with NATO within Individual Partnership Action Plan program gives Armenia a chance to modernize the army, conduct reforms, and form modern mechanisms for security system creation. However, CSTO membership can’t prevent us from seeing positive sides of collaboration with the Alliance,” President Sargsyan said.
