According to the RA National Statistical Service, 7.7% drop was recorded in salaries in August compared to July 2010. The average monthly salary in government-financed and private organizations grew by 4.7% and 9%, amounting to AMD 85,368 and 132,518 respectively. At the same time, the number of officially registered unemployed totaled 82,600 as of the end of August 2010 that is 1.4% lower compared to the same period in 2009.
