Martirosyan and Ara Khachatryan represented Armenia in the 85kg category at the World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya, Turkey. Martirosyan started with 170kg in the snatch but failed to lift the weight with three attempts. Khachatryan started with 175 kg, scratching gold in the snatch but got a hand injury in an attempt to lift 201kg in the clean & jerk and withdrew. Currently, Armenia has 6 medals.
