 U.S. Congressmen call for protection of religious sites in Turkish-occupied areas  September 30, 2010 - 19:02 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - The U.S. Congress adopted H. Res. 1631, calling for the protection of religious sites and artifacts from and in Turkish-occupied areas of northern Cyprus as well as for general respect for religious freedom, Hurriyet reported. Turkish Embassy in Washington, in turn, issued a statement, stressing that the Congress adopted a unilateral resolution without considering the opinion of the Turkish side.
