Being unpunished, Azerbaijan goes on length of killing Armenian captive, what comes next?

PanARMENIAN.Net - Though Armenia provided comments with respect to shepherd Manvel Saribekyan, Azerbaijan continuously states that an Armenian subversive appeared on Azerbaijan’s territory on September 11. The Azerbaijani propaganda posted an interview on the web with the Armenian captive, where he says that he had been trained for terrorist acts on Azerbaijan’s territory. However, one can see that Saribekyan had been subjected to tortures prior to that, reads a statement of the RA Defense Ministry.

It goes on saying: “The RA Defense Ministry has no any grounds to trust the version of the Armenian young men’s death and voices concern over it, considering that the Azerbaijani authorities are responsible for the tragic death of Manvel Saribekyn. We urge international structures, specifically, the International Committee of the Red Cross to pay attention to the fact that Azerbaijan roughly violates international humanitarian norms once again, specifically, the Convention on treatment of prisoners of war and jeopardizes the OSCE Minsk Group’s activity at the moment, when the Co-Chairs implement an assessment mission. Again and again Azerbaijan goes on length of criminal steps, which remain unpunished, what has killed Manvel Saribekyan.”

The Defense Ministry and Military Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan have issued a statement on “suicide” of Armenian captive Manvel Saribekyan. According to a 1news.az report, Saribekyan “hung himself” on the night of October 5, making a slipknot of his shirt and bedsheet. A scar characteristic for a hanged man was found on Saribekyan’s neck. The experts “did not reveal” any marks of violence on his body.
