Armenia cannot provide conditions to set up a dolphinarium

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia cannot provide conditions to set up a dolphinarium, unable to procure sea water, feedstuff or suitable climate to keep dolphins, the head of Armenian Bird Fanciers NGO stated.

“By opening a dolphinarium, the authorities will repeat the mistake committed by moving animals unsuited for Armenia’s climate to Yerevan Zoo,” Silva Adamyan stressed.

“Dolphins live on fresh fish, which we’ll be unable to import, replacing it with frozen one; drinking water, which Armenia lacks, will be used to fill the tank. Besides, pantheon-opposing area was selected as the future dolphinarium site, with pantheon being sanctity in the eyes of Yerevan citizen,” Ms. Adamyan concluded, founding her objections to doplhinarium construction.
