Armenian refugees call on international organizations to address their problemsOctober 7, 2010 - 14:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A member of the organizing committee of the Assembly of Armenians of Azerbaijan, Mariam Avagyan, has said that international organizations, including the OSCE, deliberately ignore the problem of Armenian refugees from Azerbaijan, meanwhile the problems of Azeri refugees are always raised both by Azerbaijani authorities and international institutions. Assembly’s advisory council member Hranush Kharatyan said, for her part, that the Armenian side has numerously called on the OSCE and UN to send a mission to Nakhijevan to witness the destroyed khachkars there. “Neither OSCE nor UN reacted to our appeal,” she said. The Assembly will soon organize the first congress of Armenian refugees from Azerbaijan, during which further plans will be announced.
