The exercises brought together high-ranking officials of the state management bodies, the Ministry’s press service reported. Officers of the RA Defense Ministry and General Staff of Armed Forces are expected to deliver lectures. The exercises were opened by Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, who delivered a lecture on reforms in the defense sphere. Presenting directions and process of reforms, as well as further works in the sphere, Mr. Ohanyan noted that it is expected that the reforms will contribute to the efficiency of armed forces, which will be able to make enemy refrain from hostilities launch through a strategic system of deterrence. Stressing the necessity of a common approach to defense matters, the Minister said that the aim of annual lectures conducted for officials is to boost close cooperation with all structures of the system of military security provision.
