Arif Askerov: Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad will be put into operation in 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of Azerbaijani Railways CJSC Arif Askerov said that currently the company actively participates in implementation of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railroad project.

“The railroad is keen historical importance for the region,” Askerov said during Strategic Partnership 1520: Caucasian Region business forum held in Baku. He added that the new railroad is will be put into operation in 2012, with envisaged volume of cargo transportation during first years to make 15mln t per year, 1news.az reported.
