Zaruhi Postanjyan puts 3 declarations into circulation at PACE fall sessionOctober 12, 2010 - 18:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Though not on PACE agenda, issues on Armenia’s foreign and domestic policy were discussed at PACE fall session, according to Heritage parliamentary group member Zaruhi Postanjyan. At PACE fall session, Ms. Postanjyan put into circulation 3 declarations: Azerbaijan Must Fulfill its Obligations to CoE, Death of the Armenian Hostage in Azerbaijan and Negative Influence of the Armenian Law on TV and Radio on Information Freedom. Commenting on the discussion of Armenian issue at PACE monitoring committee, Ms. Postanjyan noted that the report was not submitted as co-rapporteur Goran Lindblad failed to visit Armenia in order to prepare it. “Technical and political reasons will prevent Lindblad from visiting Armenia; thus, the document will not be submitted at the next PACE monitoring committee meeting as well.” “At present, the issue of a new co-rapporteur for Armenia is gaining currency since Lindblad will resign in the end of October. European People's Party (EPP) will convene a meeting to resolve on the candidature of the next co-rapporter for Armenia only in January 2010,” Ms. Postanjyan stated.
