European liberals demand immediate release of Armenia’s political prisonersOctober 15, 2010 - 19:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Congress (ANC) Coordinator Levon Zurabyan said during an ANC rally that he received a call from ANC Board Chairman Aram Manukyan, who is in Helsinki to participate in a congress of the European liberal parties. According to Zurabyan, the congress participants adopted a resolution demanding immediate release of Armenia’s political prisoners, a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the site. The number of participants in the ANC rally near Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts in Yerevan has already reached 500 people. ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Chairman of the People’s Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan and other opposition representatives are present at the rally.
