Microsoft Learning Gateway educational platform to be launched in Armenia in January 2011October 20, 2010 - 16:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Active implementation stage of Microsoft Learning Gateway educational platform in Armenia will be launched in January 2011, with 10 schools to be involved in pilot program. Within a centralized educational portal, every Armenian school will be given an opportunity to create its own resources. Parents will have a chance to follow their children’s progress in school; students will be able to participate in real-time video-lessons. Videoconference system will enable experience exchange between the teachers. The project is implemented jointly with Armenian Ministry of Education and Science. Armenian-language educational content of the resource will be created by the best Armenian teachers. Microsoft Corporation has invested approx. USD1 billion in implementation of educational programs. Microsoft Learning Gateway (MLG) is a Web-based collaboration, communications, and content delivery framework that serves the education industry. The MLG helps in creating integrated e-learning solutions for primary and secondary schools and higher education institutions. Creation of governmental educational internet platform within WB crediting program framework is also on Armenian Education Ministry agenda.
