Armenian President impressed by reconstructed RA parliament chamber

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said he is impressed by the reconstructed chamber of the Armenian parliament, which has become modern and comfortable for work.

According to him, every parliament member should represent the people’s will and interests of all groups of population. “We have also chosen the democratic path of development. And I attach importance to this choice of our people. Our work should never stop in this field,” President Sargsyan said.

“The parliament plays an important role in division and balancing of the power branches. Under conditions of the global economic crisis, the Armenian parliament shared the burden of taking the country out of the crisis situation. As a result of joint actions of the Armenian government and parliament, salaries of teachers were not cut, pensions were paid on time and the army’s efficiency was continuously increased,” he said.
