Tehran again offers its assistance in Karabakh process

PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 26, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said that the current stage of the Armenian-Iranian relations is of historical and keen importance for the two countries.

A considerable progress was recorded in the bilateral relations during past years, what has secured the high level in political dialogue, trade and economic ties as well as cooperation in the field of energy, a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter quoted Manouchehr Mottaki as saying during a press conference held as part of the 17th media exhibition in Tehran.

“The recent visit of Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and an Armenian delegation led by him to Iran is a graphic evidence of the Armenian-Iranian relations strengthening. The delegation included Armenian ministers, who reached certain agreements during meetings with their Iranian colleagues and signed a range of important documents,” the Iranian Foreign Minister said.

Besides, Mottaki noted that during the meeting with the Armenian Prime Minister the Iranian side voiced its concern over the latest developments in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, once again expressing willingness of official Tehran to serve as a mediator between Yerevan and Baku, contributing to peaceful resolution of the conflict.
