Analysts and journalists overestimate OSCE MG

PanARMENIAN.Net - Co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group can’t act for the conflicting sides, an Armenian expert said.

“The international mediators just offer a platform for talks, but they can do nothing if the sides fail to reach an agreement,” Caucasus Institute Director Alexander Iskandaryan said.

“Analysts and journalists often overestimate the might of the Minsk Group,” he noted.

Asked by a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter whether Matt Bryza can be appointed to serve the U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Iskandaryan said that after the Senate election in November, Obama will again nominate Bryza and the Senate will approve the nomination.
