Weather conditions hamper rehabilitation of Marmarik water storage basin![]() November 5, 2010 - 17:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan visited Kotayk region of Armenia to observe the rehabilitation works of Marmarik water storage basin. The works have been launched since 2006 as part of the WB program on water storage basins’ safety, the press service of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration reported. After the reconstruction, the reservoir will be capable to store 24mln cubic meters of water, what will allow irrigating 1,200ha of lands in Kotayk and Ararat regions of Armenia. The Deputy Prime Minister was told that the rehabilitation of Marmarik water storage basin has been delayed as a result of weather conditions. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision.
