The authorities will not benefit from weak opposition, which negatively affects coalition, Lernik Aleksanyan believes

PanARMENIAN.Net - The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has every reason to make up the majority in the new Armenian parliament, according RPA MP Lernik Aleksanyan.

Commenting on possible results of 2012 parliamentary elections at news conference in Yerevan, he forecasted for the three coalition parties, RPA, Prosperous Armenia and Orinats Yerkir to enter the new parliament.

Dwelling on opposition, Aleksanyan did not rule out the possibility changes at ANC before parliamentary elections, the latter’s current position being rather weak. “The authorities will not benefit from the weak opposition, which, in turn negatively affects the coalition,” he concluded.
