Zaven Andriassian gets off to successful start at Final Cup of Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Final Cup of Russia, hosting 32 Russian as well as foreign grandmasters, was launched in Belgorod.

Armenian chess player Zaven Andriassian got off to a successful start in the first championship tour, beating Pavel Pankratov of Russia.

Their second match is due November 8.

The tournament prize fund is 1 190 000 rubles.
